What is AutoSwitch?
AutoSwitch is Ireland’s first fully automated utility switching service. Instead of reminding you to shop around, AutoSwitch compares the market for you and handles the switching itself, so your household is never left sitting on an expired tariff that has quietly gone up.
Who is behind AutoSwitch?
AutoSwitch is built in Ireland by a small independent team who got tired of doing the yearly switching chore for their own households and decided it should be a service. The company behind it is AutoSwitch Ireland Ltd, registered in Dublin (company number 819907), with its registered office at Venture Hub, 136 Capel Street, Dublin, D01 T2C9, Ireland. Where is AutoSwitch today?
AutoSwitch is in its private, members-only phase. Access is by invitation only, released in small rounds, and invitations go out strictly in the order people joined. Reserve your place now: it costs nothing, it holds your position in the queue, and the first households in will be the first ones AutoSwitch switches. Why does this need to exist?
Because loyalty is expensive. Irish households that never switch pay hundreds of euro a year more than they need to. The regulator found that households switching to the best deal each year could save around €425 a year on electricity. The problem is not that people cannot switch; it is that switching is a chore that has to be remembered and repeated, every contract, every year. We think the chore should be a service.
